Maribou State
After six years away, Maribou State came home to London.
As Content Designer, I was involved in the early conceptual development and the execution of the screen visuals through to on site delivery. The creative foundation drew from the storytelling mechanics of a zoetrope shapes stage, in collaboration with the production and lighting design. This became a driving force behind the show, a continuous loop of growth, decay, and renewal. A visual metaphor for the life cycle itself.
Each piece of content was designed to evolve with the music, flowing naturally through moments of calm and intensity, expanding with each layer of Maribou State’s tracks.
The visuals premiered across three nights at Alexandra Palace, London. Before travelling to Glastonbury’s West Holts Stage for their headline slot, Coachella, and venues around the world.
